Fully casting every show in the country, is the main aim for Find my Cast
Imagine an online database of all the amateur performers and backstage crew in NZ.
Imagine being able to search for performers by; age, acting style, singing level, region...
How about searching for a lighting tech or Stage Manager? Or getting you audition notices email to everyone in your area?
That is what FindMyCast will do for the theatre community. It is on-line right now and if you think it’s a great idea, then you should log on and put YOUR details on the site.
It is run by one of our own, Michael Burton, an Actor/Director from Napier who is passionate about keeping amateur theatre thriving. He shares a common experience that we have all had; “So many times auditions have been poorly supported and plays not cast, purely because people didn’t know about the show.” He says, and that’s why this website was produced.
So come on people, let’s give it our support. Get a good photo, pen a short Bio and get it on the database... You won’t miss an audition notice again!
